Marvel Animation and Disney+ have released the first trailer for X-Men ’97, the continuation of the classic 90s animated series. It picks up after the events of the original episode ‘Graduation Day’, in which a dying Professor Xavier was taken to the Shi’ar homeworld for treatment, leaving the team without their mentor.

The series features some of the original voice cast, including Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler and Christopher Britton as Mister Sinister. Catherine Disher, Chris Potter and Alyson Court all return as well, but in new roles. Taking their places in the voice cast include Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, AJ LoCascio as Gambit and Holly Chou as Jubilee. Ray Chase takes over the voice of Cyclops after the passing of Norm Spencer in 2020. Likewise, Matthew Waterson voices Magneto after David Hemblen’s passing in 2020.

The series will arrive on Disney+ starting March 20.
