Vision is set to get his own solo TV series on Disney+, according to a new report. According to Deadline, Jac Schaeffer (WandaVision, Agatha: House of Harkness) is developing the series which will see Paul Bettany reprise his role as the synthezoid Avenger.

The site reports that the show, officially called Vision Quest, is being unofficially called “the White Vision project” in reference to how the character left off at the end of WandaVision, when S.W.O.R.D. rebuilt Vision without his memories or personality and sent him to battle Wanda (Elizabeth Olson) and the Vision she had created in WestView through her magic. The confrontation ended with White Vision regaining his memories and flying away, and the report notes that the series will be about Vision trying to regain his memory and humanity. The focus will be on Vision, but there is a possibility for Elizabeth Olsen to reprise her role as Wanda.

“Vision Quest” was a story arc that took place in West Coast Avengers #42 through 50 in 1989 and saw Vision captured, disassembled, and stripped of his emotions by government agents — which, of course, happened (in altered form) in WandaVision. He eventually regained his memories and personality, as well as his original coloring.

The writers’ room for the new series is reportedly opening next week.
