So, I goofed and didn’t realise Verano de Escándalo started last week. That’s on me, I had a party to cook and bake for, and things just got away from me. But I am here to bring the previews for the next two weeks! We are at Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico, for the 26th Verano de Escándalo!

Week 1 saw a title chance, when La Hiedra & Laredo Kid defeated Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships! And Los Perros del Mal (Daga & Angel) defeated Los Gringos Locos 2.0 (Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano)! We also saw Dom join El Ojo at the end of the match!

Tonight, La Parka, Lince Dorado, and Mecha Wolf fight for a spot in the Four-Way match at Triplemanía 34 for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship! El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno will be in action! And Mini Vikingo takes on Rey Fénix for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship!

Also, as of this writing, the opponents for El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno have not been announced. So, barring a big surprise, I am going with them to win their match. It’s just hard to write a preview for a match when you only know one side of it.

Week 2

Triple Threat for a Spot in the AAA Latin American Championship Match at Triplemanía 34
La Parka vs. Lince Dorado vs. Mecha Wolf

All three of these men have worked hard to impress fans over the last year. La Parka has had the most exposure to the mainstream WWE audience, having appeared on NXT, the main roster, and in a Royal Rumble entry. Lince Dorado has been a solid veteran hand for AAA and is also a producer for the company. And Mecha Wolf has a great look and can go in the ring.

With all that taken into consideration, I think La Parka gets the win here. He seems to have creative behind him, and is the most marketable of the three. I think 2027 will be a breakout year for him, and the Latin American Championship is a good stepping stone for him to get there. I expect the match to be chaotic fun and a great showcase for all three men involved,

Winner: La Parka

Rey Fénix just won the belt, and while Mini Vikingo has been on a roll, I don’t think he is losing it so soon. Like the previous match, I expect this one to be a high-flying, crazy match. Both men are extremely talented when it comes to Lucha Libre, so expect a lot of crazy spots, rope walks, and aerial assaults. I am also wondering if El Ojo tries to recruit Mini Vikingo. Maybe we will see Omos show up to try and help him win, only for it to backfire.

Possible El Ojo interference aside, and with a pretty forgone conclusion on who is walking out with the belt. I am looking forward to the match, just because we can safely assume the winner, doesn’t mean the match won’t be great. You have two great wrestlers going out there and doing the thing they do best. And in the end, it will be us fans who are the real winners for getting to watch it happen.

Winner and still AAA World Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Fénix
