-Plugs: Episodes One and Two

-We start at WrestleMania 41 in Vegas with Paul Heyman siding with Seth Rollins. They hug backstage, and Paul thanks Seth. Seth says Paul Heyman has, in some ways, always been a Seth Rollins guy. Heyman says Seth has been the best in-ring performer since 2012 and is just now in his prime now.

-HHH says they have been planting seeds, and they make Seth a bad guy by making him sell his soul to Heyman. Seth says the only way they get to the vision is if the two of them are on the same side. Heyman says it is about who Main Events WrestleMania in five years, and this turn is the catalyst for that.

-Show opening!

-HHH says getting to the apex of the business (which is the WWE) is a step-by-step process, and a lot of it is up to the talent. They need to steal the scene even if they only get 30 seconds. HHH sees that ability in Penta.

-We head to Mexico and meet Penta, and we get subtitles, which sucks for someone recapping a show. He talks about the history of using a mask in Mexico and what it means. I know Penta is feeling the blues after the Niners loss, but still a great season, and best wishes to George Kittle. Heal up, my man! Penta talks about clinging step by step, but sometimes you fall. You get up and go again and again. It took him 20 years to get here, and he compares the WWE to a pyramid.

-Penta goes over the names he has used: Zairus, Dark Dragon, Hijo Del Cuchillo, Pentagon Jr., and now just Penta. We see AAA footage because WWE owns that now, and why not use it? Michael Hayes says Penta was something on the roster they didn’t have, but the fans were looking for. Penta discusses his hand signal, and George Kittle uses it to celebrate big plays, and that’s actually where I learned about it before even hearing about Penta.

-Penta says his debut in WWE was a dream. Hayes says when it works as it did with Penta, it puts a smile on your face. They show Penta’s daughter, Romina, crying in the front row. Chelsea says Penta can make a broomstick look good.

-We get footage of Chelsea vs. Penta in Lucha Underground in 2018. Chelsea is so grateful for that match because Penta pushed her to a level she never knew. She says they can’t run it back because you can’t redo perfection.

-Chelsea takes us to the site where her dream home is being built. So far, it’s just a foundation and some walls. She has been working on the design for two years. It has a three-car garage that will be turned into a gym. She is so happy with her life and happy she signed a new five-year deal. “I am living my best life.” Chelsea shows the space for her trophy case where all her Championships will be. She then thinks about having kids and gets emotional thinking about what to do with wrestling after you have kids. She says she is on a hot streak, and it sounds awful, but she doesn’t want to ruin it by getting pregnant. After ten years, she is just starting to make money now.

-Bruce Prichard talks about Chelsea being able to elevate any story and anyone around her. “You give her 30 seconds, and she will get more out of it than someone who has a 30-minute match.” We jump to SmackDown, where Chelsea loses the US Title to Zelina, and Chelsea is bummed because she had so much more planned. She then realized “this shit is not real,” and she will be going home to her husband and her dream home. She loved the crowd popped and was happy that she did her job. She is ready for any other opportunities that come her way.

-Creative Meeting: HHH and team are discussing the next SNME and if they want to run Zelina/Chelease for the US Title again. James asks about putting the Title back on Chelsea, and HHH wants to know who she works with, as she has run through the faces. Anyone above those, she has to lose to. HHH notes they have not lost confidence in Chelsea, James says he understands and doesn’t disagree, even though it sounds like he is. Hayes talks about how HHH sees down the road, while the creative team ifs focused on the immediate. Hayes says Chelsea is so entertaining, but she is not Charlotte or Tiffany. She is there to help make those people.

-SNME: Chelsea tells the camera guys she is looking so don’t buy any pins. She has apparently been sick for the last eight days. She was told by Urgent Care that it was allergies, but she knows it is something more, as she has had a fever and now a cough. She needs a week’s worth of sleep, but she will be working. We see her use an inhale,r and she questions if she ever used it correctly in the past.

-Zelina vs. Chelsea: Chelsea says she wants it to go well for Zelina, as this is about her tonight. Jason Jordan is the producer on the headset for the match. We see Chelsea get her nose broken off a weird-looking 6-1-9. Zelina gets a win with a Code Red off the top rope.

-HHH wants to know if Chelsea is okay, and Zelina looks horrified when Chelsea comes back with her broken nose. Chelsea says this is the fifth time she has broken her nose and points out the scar she has across the bridge of her nose. She was told that if it breaks again, she will need surgery. We see her head to the doctor, and they take pictures. Chelsea says the nose crunches, and that was the crunchiest it has ever been. She is told it will take four weeks to heal, and Chelsea seems freaked out by that. She jokes that maybe the next time we talk to her, she may be peacing out to have a baby. Hayes says she has an amazing future because of her charisma and talent.

-We go back to The Vision and the meeting where they decide who to pair with Seth and Paul. Bruce talks about how they like to put young talent in spots like this to get them to the next level. Enter Bron Breakker! Seth says he is an amazing talent with elite athletic ability. He puts over his energy level and desire to learn. The goal is to get Bron ready. HHH says one of the positives is telling a talent where they are headed, and he tells Bron the plan for RAW. Great moment, and you can see it hit Bron as he is told that he is going to spear Roman and join Seth. Bron: “Yeah, right.”

-We get to RAW where everything changes. Roman is set to spear Paul Heyman, but a hooded man saves and spears Roman, and it’s Bron. Fantastic reveal and plan. HHH tells Bron it was great, and Seth was happy with it as well. They all agree that they are off and running. Heyman says that moment was as important as the turn at Mania.

-Next, they bring Bronson Reed into the group at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Heyman talks about the value the group has to the future of the business. The vision is that Bron and Bronson are megastars in the future. Bronson says he is fortunate to be given this chance. Breakker wants to be at the top, where he is spoken of like he is Seth, Roman, or Punk.

-Back to Mexico, where Penta is teaching his daughter The Penta Strut! Cool! Penta has his own lucha school, and we see him working out with his students, and we see kids no older than eight working out. Well, they start young in Mexico. I am digging this stuff on Penta!

-Money in the Bank: Penta says it was amazing for him and puts over all the people in the match. He has been waiting his entire career for moments like this. Chris Park (Abyss) is one of the agents, and we see him working with the talent on what to do for the match. I remember Park being so eager to please Bruce last season. He talks over the idea for the match with HHH, and they hash things out.

-Men’s MITB Ladder Match: Wow, they break out Guns N Roses for the video highlights for this one. WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE! We get the camera shots again, where it cuts from major spot to major spot seamlessly. That’s still a pretty awesome camera trick. The boys pop in the back as Andrade takes a ball shot with the ladder. Penta says he loves ladder matches and the crazy violence. MEXICAN DESTROYER ON A LADDER! Penta says this was special for him. I forgot about the ladder being sponsored by Fireball! We get the crazy spot with Americano climbing a ladder and riding another to get on the last ladder that Penta was climbing. Crazy how well that all flowed! Chris Park is marking out as they are hitting everything.

-Seth notes that he hates MITB matches. Everyone has to be on point as far as timing and storytelling to make sure everything goes well and people are safe. Seth admits he is a bit of a control freak, and these matches take that away from him. Once the ladder breaks and they even call make sure it call out a “fireball ladder” in Gorilla. They had a backup as a precaution, and it seems the ending gets screwed up with Rollins and Knight. HHH and Park seem bummed! They didn’t get to the face-to-face battle at the top of the ladder, which took away the suspense and drama. Seth gets the win, and you can see that HHH is not thrilled with how that ended. Poor Park!

-Seth says he was angry when he left the ring and says he was mad at himself for not getting it perfect. Park is trying to explain to Bruce again what went wrong. HHH tells Knight the end was built for him and goes over how they missed the moment. You can see that Knight is bummed as well. Park apologizes to HHH, and HHH tells him that it’s not on him. The guys are the ones out there who have to do the work. I agree with HHH.

-Park says he thinks Penta came out of the match looking like a star, even if he didn’t win. Penta loves the energy from the crowd, and it helps him push his body beyond any limits. He is ready to conquer everything.

-One week later in creative, Heyman tells the group they have something with Penta. He talks about the star pop when people come out, and that’s one thing, but the real thing is when fans pop for a guy when they are selling. We see the crowd cheering on Penta as he climbs the ladder. Heyman:
“Penta is over as a motherfucker,” and thinks they have something really special with him.

-Hayes talks about how everyone wants a shortcut to the top, and the shortcut in WWE is the MITB briefcase. We see various cash-ins over the years, including Rollins in 2015 at Mania 31. The Heist of the Century!

-We jump to Night of Champions with John Cena vs. CM Punk. All eyes were on that match, but they wanted to remind people about Rollins and the MITB briefcase. The Vision show up during the match and screw Punk by putting him through a table. Rollins teases cashing in, but Cena takes out the ref and then Seth. The Vision get involved, and Seth stomps Punk, leading to Cena getting the win. Seth says the business of the night was accomplished. HHH says they had bigger plans down the line, and that’s what’s fun. “Sometimes you need foreplay before the Main Event.”

-Cena checks on Charles Robinson after his bump, and he is all good. HHH thanks him for it.

-Rollins says it is a good time when he can screw over CM Punk, so he considers it a half-win.

-HHH says you need a vision for what the future is. We touch on what’s to come with Seth Rollins getting injured at SNME to close this episode.

-Another enjoyable episode. Chelsea is great and has the perfect attitude for the business. She deserves everything she is getting and then some, so it was nice to see her get some shine on this show. The Vision was the biggest story of the summer, so it made sense for them to be all over this, and we are getting to the big stuff next episode. Then there’s Penta, and I really liked seeing more of him and what he is doing in Mexico with his school. It’s not shocking that Heyman is a massive fan, and if this were 1996, Heyman would likely have Penta in ECW stealing shows before WCW stole him. The main thing I am digging with this show is the focus on 2-3 personalities and those that orbit around them. I continue to be a fan of what they are giving me with this show. Let’s just hope we get an episode where Park isn’t apologizing for something that’s not his fault. Thanks for reading!
