AEW wrestler Ace Austin joined RJ City on this weekend’s edition of Hey! (EW) to discuss his career and much more. During the interview, Austin spoke about his AEW debut, the process of joining AEW, and receiving his official “Ace Austin is #AllElite” graphic.

Austin debuted in AEW in August, losing to Ricochet in his in-ring debut. When asked by RJ City if getting his #AllElite graphic was easy, Austin noted, (via Fightful), “I don’t want to say yes, because I’ve seen a lot of people work really hard and not get hired here.”

RJ City later jokingly asked if Austin asked for the graphic, which Ace Austin didn’t, explaining that he was getting pulled in a “thousand directions” when he made his AEW debut. Austin stated on not asking for his graphic (also via Fightful), “No, when I showed up that, well, okay, so I did the promo Wednesday, and then when I showed up Thursday, I got pulled in a thousand directions.” He continued, “We need promo pictures for the graphic. We need your entrance music. We got to go over your entrance.”

During the interview, Austin also discussed his association with the Bang Bang Gang, noting that there’s a “process” involved before he officially joins the group. He jokingly stated, “Yeah, we’re… there’s paperwork, you know, there’s a process.”

Austin has not wrestled yet in AEW since his debut match against Ricochet. As noted, Austin recently responded to fan speculation on his not wrestling since that match late last month, advising fans that “patience is a virtue.”
