Ace Austin Claims Ricochet Cut Him Short Again in the Casino Gauntlet Match

As previously reported, Ricochet won the Casino Gauntlet Match last night at AEW Full Gear 2025, becoming the inaugural AEW National Champion. One person who wasn’t too crazy about the result with Ricochet is The Bang Bang Gang’s Ace Austin.
According to Austin, he was next in line to go out for the Casino Gauntlet Match. However, Ricochet winning the match negated his entrance into it, and Austin isn’t happy about that, commenting on the topic via social media.
Speaking about Ricochet, Ace Austin wrote, “Man, this sucks… I was next up in that gauntlet. 64 seconds till my music…And it just had to be @KingRicochet to cut me short again…”
Other competitors in the matchup included Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Kevin Knight, and Speedball Mike Bailey. Ricochet pinned Kevin Knight to score the win and the title.
The good news is that Austin’s Bang Bang Gang teammates were victorious last night. Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson won a $200,000 Fatal 4-Way Match after Robinson pinned Anthony Bowens with a roll-up. The victory earned the team a cash prize of $200,000…in-storyline, of course.
Ricochet previously defeated Ace Austin in Austin’s AEW debut on the August 14 division of AEW Collision. So, Austin might be looking to seek redemption by pursuing a shot at Ricochet for the newly minted AEW National Title later on.
