AEW presented its annual Grand Slam event from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, tonight. The show saw Hangman Page punch his ticket for Revolution, where he will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship. He defeated Andrade El Idolo in a number-one contender’s match.
Meanwhile, MJF retained his title against Brody King in the main event. Also at the show, Babes of Wrath retained the Women’s World Tag Team Title against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. They were attacked by Lena Kross after the match. Kyle Fletcher had a memorable homecoming, as he retained the TNT Championship against Mark Briscoe in a brutal Ladder Match. Additionally, Wheeler Yuta was forced to get his head shaved after being pinned by Toni Storm in the Hair vs. Hair Mixed Tornado Tag Team Match. Meanwhile, the Continental Championship match between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita ended in a time-limit draw.
Below are some notes from AEW Grand Slam: Australia (via Fightful Select).
* No major injuries have been reported coming out of Grand Slam: Australia.

* Lena Kross made a shocking appearance on tonight’s show, attacking Babes of Wrath and aligning herself with Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne. Following that, Tony Khan announced on social media that she is now an official member of the roster. According to Fightful, the wheels for that had been set in motion this past December.
* The feud between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita is expected to continue following their time-limit draw tonight.
* Due to poor sales of tickets, AEW upgraded a number of fans’ tickets to improve the look on TV.
* The extra in the Andrade-Hangman match was Australian indie wrestler Aysha.
* Kyle Fletcher delivered an emotional speech following his successful title defense. He also unveiled a custom-made TNT Championship.
* Scorpio Sky and Anthony Bowens didn’t travel to Australia, as they were at the NBA All-Star this weekend.
* AEW will have a live event, titled “House Rules,” on Sunday.
