Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament Brackets Revealed On AEW Dynamite

AEW revealed the brackets for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. AEW announced the brackets on Wednesday’s show, and you can see the full layout below.

The first round will see the following matches take place:

* Queen Aminata & Jamie Hayter vs. Sisters Of Sin
* Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron vs. Athena & Mercedes Mone
* Alex Windsor & Riho vs. Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa
* Anna Jay & Tay Melo vs. Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford

Mone and Athena agreed to team up on the show in a backstage segment. Athena showed up backstage after Mone’s 12 Belt Celebration was ruined by Kris Statlander. Athena proposed that the two of them team in the tournament. Mone seemed agreeable, and Athena took her off to “Minion training.” You can see the clip of that segment below.

The tournament kicks off next week on AEW Dynamite. Next Wednesday’s show takes place at the Bayou Music Center in Houstin, Texas. It airs live on TBS and HBO Max.
