AJ Styles Reveals Condition For In-Ring Return

WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles recently addressed the possibility of coming out of retirement for one more match.

Speaking on The AJ Styles Show, The Phenomenal One addressed how Avery Styles and his two other sons could influence his decision to return to the squared circle for one more time.

Styles said that while he wouldn’t return for an indie show, he would love to tag with his sons at a “big show,” provided he isn’t too old by then.

Here’s what AJ said:

“But how long is it going to take my son or sons to get in the position where I’m able to do this show with them that matters? If it doesn’t matter, I’ll be honest with you, I’m probably not going to come back for an indie show. I mean, even if it’s to wrestle with my boys. I probably do not want to do that.

“I don’t mind being a special guest and a manager kind of thing, but if I do come back, hopefully, I’m not 60 and it’s on a big show. I would definitely let, who wouldn’t? What father wouldn’t want to come back and tag with his sons? So I don’t know if that opportunity will come because it depends how long it’s going to take him.”

Styles called time on his pro wrestling career earlier this year following his defeat to Gunther in a career-threatening match at the Royal Rumble. He was subsequently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 42 weekend.
