American Gladiators’ J-Rod & More Also Set For WWE SummerSlam Tryouts

Add American Gladiators star J-Rod and more to those attending the WWE SummerSlam tryouts set to take place next week. As previously noted, a number of wrestlers announced that they were attending the tryouts set to take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Those talents included MLW star Josh Bishop and Colton Theron Vaught.

J-Rod of American Gladiators reboot fame has revealed she will be attending, posting the news to her Twitter account. PWInsider adds that Nigel Cawthon, Nicky Mariano, and Ryan Meed are also set to attend.

J-Rod is a four-year veteran and has worked regularly for OVW. She has also had matches for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, Tokyo Joshi Pro, and more. She worked two matches as part of AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation back in 2022 and 2023.

Nigel Cawthon works as Big Tito Lincoln and wrestled for BRCW and CCW, plus more. He is a former high school amateur wrestler and played football for Hampton University.

Mariano was a competitor on the second season of Prime Video’s Beast Games. A Black & Brave Wrestling Academy alumnus, he wrestles as Conan Lycan. WWE was reported by Fightful Select in March as having interest from WWE.

Ryan Meed comes from New York City and played football for University of Illinois.
