Anna Jay Debunks Speculation About Her Future With AEW

Anna Jay recently addressed speculations around her AEW status. Jay has not competed on AEW TV since the November 19, 2025, episode of AEW Collision, where she and Tay Melo lost the quarterfinal of the Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament to Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir. Anna will return to the squared circle this Saturday when she challenges Willow Nightingale for the AEW TBS Championship/

In December, Fightful reported that Anna Jay’s contract would expire in the spring of 2026. The report further noted that Anna has contacts at WWE and NXT and is willing to speak with them.

Yesterday, an X user shared the same information, which was then debunked by the AEW talent. Anna Jay stated, “I don’t know where this information is coming from, and you don’t know what you’re talking about. Please shut up. See you guys on Collision Saturday.”

Full disclosure, I have reached out to Anna Jay today to communicate this — The information came directly from her reps/agents at the time when the details of her deal came out last year. Literally all of it. They have since said that she is handling her new deal herself.

Later, on her Twitch stream, Anna acknowledged that her AEW contract is indeed coming up. However, she added that claims about her future with the company are unfounded, as they may be coming from someone who used to work for her but is no longer in touch. She stated the following:

“A lot of stuff going on online that you guys have been seeing; a lot of it is not true. I guess, allegedly, the source was someone I used to work with, and he is no longer working for me as of a few months ago. So I don’t know exactly if that’s true or not, but it apparently came from him. The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up, but that’s it. That’s it. No big deal. That’s it. Everything else that you guys have seen is pretty much BS.”
