Attendance Update AEW Dynamite in Miami, Event Falls Short of Sellout
– As previously reported, AEW had sold about 3,500 tickets for last night’s AEW Dynamite Road Rager show in Miami, Florida. The James L. Knight Center could reportedly hold about 4,800 people for a wrestling event. PWInsider reported today that the event fell about a few hundred tickets short of being a total sellout.
As Dave Meltzer previously reported on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW initially sold out its initial tickets that were placed on sale for Miami, which were about 1,200 on the first day. PWInsider noted that when AEW first put tickets on sale, the event was still under stricter COVID-19 safety restrictions. However, the event was opened up with more seats later on, and AEW put additional tickets for sale. The tickets that went on sale later sold at a much slower rate.
As noted, Fyter Fest Night 1 slated for next week has already officially sold out on tickets. PWInsider is also reporting that AEW is hoping to open up additional seats for the event as they lock in production on the day of the taping.
