Rezar of the Authors of Pain claims that an in-ring incident with one of the Wyatt Sicks led to AOP’s exit from WWE. The tag team was released in February of 2025, ending their second stint with the company. They had been allied with Karrion Kross as the Final Testament. Rezar, now competing in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship under his real name of Gzim Selmani, appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show on Tuesday. During the conversation, he alleged that their release was due to an incident with the Wyatt Sicks during the WWE holiday tour.

Selmani did not name which member of the group was the issue, but he said one of them tried to change the match. The Final Testament battled The Wyatt Sicks in mixed five-person tag team matches on the 2024 holiday tour. The AOP had only one more match after that, a victory on WWE Main Event that was taped on December 30th, before their releases in February.

You can see the highlights from the conversation below:

On the Incident:

“There was an incident, you know? Very unprofessional from one of those guys. I don’t know their names, and I don’t want to go into it too deeply. But there was an incident on one of the holiday tours that we did. And yeah, somebody tried to switch up the match during the match, and that’s just a no-go for me. Especially if you’ve just been in the company for a little bit, and we were already there for a long time? You know, you don’t do that. Yeah, I just had to let somebody know, and that was the end of it.”

On the Moment Happening During the Match:

Yeah, they tried to switch up the match in the middle of the match, so you know. I’m a professional. Even if I have to take a beating in the wrestling ring, I do it. And if you’re going to be a scared little bitch, then it’s not my fault. I will let you know backstage.”

On If the Person Tried to Change the Match Result:

“No, it wasn’t like that. It was certain moves that we did. Some of the guys, they didn’t want to take it, because we’re big guys. So if we lift you up and double spinebuster somebody five nights in a row, then the sixth night somebody can complain. But don’t change it during the match.”

On the Argument Backstage Being the End:

“Yes… It happened. I’m okay with it.”

On If He Considered Other Options After Exiting:

“No, that was it. We knew that was it. We — especially Paul and Sonny, you know, we talked together. And obviously we always leave the door open. But for me, it was clear I had to go back to combat sports and do my thing.”
