The Babes Of Wrath are your current and inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, and they recently discussed how they’d like their reign to be remembered down the line. Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale became the first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions in AEW at Winter Is Coming in December. As of this writing, they have been champions for 68 days.

The two spoke with Wrestle Radio Australia before this past weekend’s Grand Slam Australia and were asked what they want their reign to be remembered for. Cameron noted that she wanted people to remember that they were homegrown talent who got where they were through hard work, which Nightingale agreed to. You can see highlights below:

Cameron On How They Want This Reign To Be Remembered:

“I feel like there’s like a lot that comes into that answer. And a few things that I’ll touch on is, I hope that they remember — one, that we’re homegrown. That you know, we both started in AEW together, and I think that that’s something that I’m really proud of. Also, not to discredit from any other company, but it is nice to know that like, Willow was my first-ever match in AEW. And the fact that we have gone from that to now becoming a team, and then now being in the history books I think is really special.

“And I also think — you know, we had very similar journeys where we weren’t necessarily brought in and headlined straight away. We both kind of, I think, represent what can happen if you are given opportunity and you work hard. I think that our story is homogeneous in that respect. We’re a representation of, you may not be dealt certain cards in life. But if you really, really work hard and you have a dream and opportunity meets hard work, then anything is possible. And I’m proud to be with you [Willow] in that.”

Nightingale On Their Legacy:

“I agree. I was going to say, I think I would want it to just be a story of perseverance, and how determination and perseverance can pay off, and you just put that so much more beautifully. But yeah, I’m I’m also very proud of us and we’re on the same page.”
