Backstage Notes on AEW Backstage Morale, Michael Mansury Joining Company

– Fightful Select has some additional backstage notes from AEW TV this week. As previously reported, AEW recently hired Mike Mansury, WWE’s former VP of Global TV Production. According to the report, Mansury is looking to significantly improve the production of AEW>

Additionally, Mansury was in attendance at the show last night. He was said to still be observing and is not officially on duty yet.

– Fightful also noted that several members of the AEW roster had positive things to say about the current morale and direction of the locker room as of late.

– As noted, All Elite Wrestling also used the NBA on NBC’s “Roundball Rock” theme on last night’s Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite. Tony Khan reportedly wanted the music rights to use the theme coming out of AEW Full Gear so it would coincide with the Best of Seven series between The Elite and Death Triangle. According to Fightful’s reports, the rights holders were very reasonable and easy to work with, and they made a deal that was easy to reach. The report notes that music right inquiries can sometimes be a “wild card.”
