Backstage Rumor on Possible Lineup for WWE Royal Rumble

– According to a report by WrestlingNews.co, Edge is expected to renew his rivalry with Finn Balor at next month’s WWE Royal Rumble event. According to the report, they will face each other in a gimmick match that’s believed to be Hell in a Cell.

Another rumored match for the event would be a Pitch Black Match. A source who spoke to WrestlingNews.co expects the Pitch Black match to involve Bray Wyatt. Here’s the reported lineup WWE has for the January 2023 card at this point:

* WWE Undisputed Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
* WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez
* Men’s Royal Rumble Match
* Women’s Royal Rumble Match
* Pitch Black Match
* Edge vs. Finn Balor

Edge has not appeared on WWE TV since losing to Balor in an I Quit Match at Extreme Rules in October. WWE has not yet announced the matchups for next month’s Royal Rumble. The premium live event will be held on Saturday, January 28 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It will be broadcast live on Peacock in the US and the WWE Royal Rumble everywhere else.
