Backstage Update on Neville Walking Out on Raw & The Booking of The Cruiserweight Title

It was reported on Tuesday that Neville reportedly requested his WWE release on Monday and walked out on Raw. Neville was initially set to lose to Enzo Amore in the main event match on Raw, which was a lumberjack match. Instead, plans changed after Neville apparently walked out before the show. Kalisto got the spot and won the championship.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, when Neville found out he’d be losing to Enzo, he walked out. When no one could come up with a better plan, Vince McMahon made the call to put the title on Kalisto, rather than have Amore beat somebody else. The plan is to get the title back on Amore,

Neville’s status is said to be up in the air, WWE has reportedly denied that he has left the company. But the WON says that the belief within the company is that he’s gone, including one person close to the situation insisting he’s 100 percent gone.
