Backstage Update on TNA Wanting To Use Sheamus at Bound for Glory

As previously reported, former WWE Champion and current wrestling free agent Sheamus (aka Stephen Farrelly) was getting interest from TNA Wrestling ahead of Bound for Glory. It was also rumored that he was the “primary name” considered to answer Moose’s open challenge at TNA Bound for Glory. However, the spot ultimately went to former AEW star Max Caster.
Fightful Select has more details on the Sheamus and TNA situation. According to the report, TNA reached out to Sheamus about working Bound for Glory.
Additionally, it’s said that as of two weeks ago, Sheamus had yet to commit to the booking. Although False Finish reported that he was the “primary name” considered to answer the open challenge, Fightful notes that wasn’t a matter of “choosing” Sheamus over Caster.
Fightful also notes the pay rate between the two sides is vast. Sheamus parted ways with WWE earlier this year. It’s currently unknown if the former WWE Champion will land in TNA Wrestling.
