Backstage Update on TNA Wrestling’s Interest in Former WWE Superstars

As previously reported, TNA Wrestling is reportedly interested in bringing in multiple members of the former WWE faction, the Wyatt Sicks. However, the initial report by Sports Illustrated didn’t have any details regarding which members TNA wanted to bring in. A new report by PWInsider Elite (via F4WOnline.com) has more details on the matter.

According to PWInsider’s update, it’s rumored that Joseph Sawyer (formerly Joe Gacy) and Samuel Shaw (formerly Dexter Lumis) are names that have been thrown around for creative pitches in TNA. Additionally, PWInsider notes that there’s no word yet on the other members of the Wyatt Sicks possibly joining TNA.

The entire faction, including Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, Erick Redbeard (aka Erick Rowan), and Nikki Storm (aka Nikki Cross), was released by WWE earlier in April. Since that time, many of the members have returned to working the indie wrestling scene. Sawyer recently became the GCW World Champion. Meanwhile, Storm and her husband, Big Damo (aka Killian Dain), acquired the PROGRESS Wrestling promotion.

Shaw had an earlier run in TNA Wrestling, working there from 2010 to 2015. TNA Wrestling has announced or confirmed the arrival of the former WWE Tag Team Champions (Sawyer and Shaw)
