Batista Comments on Viral Video of President Trump, Recognizes Trump’s ‘Struggle to Breathe’ Since He’s Asthmatic

– Former WWE Superstar Batista (aka Dave Bautista), recently shared his thoughts on a clip of President Donald Trump gasping for breath after his release from Walter Reed Hospital earlier this week. As previously reported, President Trump, who is also a fellow WWE Hall of Famer, recently tested positive for COVID-19. Batista was responding to a viral video clip shared by his My Spy costar Ken Jeong showing President Trump appearing to gasp for breath after he removed his mask for a White House photo-op after his release from Walter Reed.

Ken Jeong tweeted, “Gasping for air. And credibility.” Batista, who is an admitted asthmatic, responded to Jeong and noted he can recognize President Trump struggling to breathe. Batista tweeted, “I’m an asthmatic. That’s what I would look like if I was trying to hide that I was having an asthma attack. Well, not all orange and bloated with a combover and a bad suit… but otherwise.. yeah. I recognize that struggle to breathe.”

Another Twitter user responded to Batista, writing, “If I was breathing like that I’d be reaching for my inhaler.” Batista later replied, “I reached for my inhaler watching him struggle to breath. It’s like a guys reaction to watching another guy get kicked in the balls. Relatable discomfort!”

Later on, a different user asked about Batista’s own experiences dealing with asthma while wrestling during his WWE career. The former WWE champion commented, “I hid inhalers under the ring and with people working around the ring. I’m not kidding. Batista was to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and was part of the Class of 2020 inductees. However, the 2020 induction ceremony was postponed to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns. President Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
