Latest Update On Bayley’s WWE Contract Status

Bayley has not signed a new WWE contract, although the latest reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter say she is expected to remain with the company.

Bayley’s return to WWE television came earlier this week on Raw. She had been absent from the program after Lyra Valkyria had taken Bayley out at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18, July. Her attack on Valkyria cost her a chance to qualify for Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Dave Meltzer reported that she had agreed to terms several weeks ago, which is when WWE began mentioning Bayley on television. However, she had not yet formally signed a new deal. However, he noted that they “believe strongly enough” that she would eventually sign a contract; hence, they brought her back on TV (via F4WOnline):

“The other big story was Bayley’s return. Bayley had pretty much agreed to terms a few weeks ago, when they started mentioning her on television. She has not signed a new deal, but that is expected to happen. But obviously they believe strongly enough that she will, that they brought her back.”

Bayley’s status had also led to speculation about a possible move to AEW. Mercedes Moné, her longtime friend, had previously teased the possibility of the two working together. However, with the latest developments and Bayley’s return, it is safe to say she is not preparing to leave WWE.
