Becky Lynch Clarifies Saturday Night’s Main Event Match With Sol Ruca

Becky Lynch has cleared up the confusion around her Saturday Night’s Main Event Match with Sol Ruca and whether her title will be on the line. As noted, WWE has been flip-flopping in advertising Lynch vs. Ruca as either a non-title match or for Lynch’s WWE Women’s Intercontinetal Championship match. The most recent social media post did not list the title as being on the line.

Lynch posted to her Twitter account to clear things up in her trademarked fashion, writing:

“There seems to be misinformation regarding my Saturday Nights Main Event match! (The biased wrestling media is pushing the agenda that the title should be on the line!!) NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

I CLEARLY stated that SUCKER Sol Ruca has done NOTHING to earn a shot at MY VERY PRESTIGIOUS IC TITLE!!

We will see if she can hang with the GREATEST female wrestler of all time. A LOT of people don’t think she will, but we will see!! Thank you for your attention on this matter – BTB”

Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place on May 23rd from Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The show airs live on Peacock, and the lineup is:

* WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta vs. Ethan Page.
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Paige & Brie Bella vs. The Irresistible Forces.
* World Tag Team Championship Match: Logan Paul & Austin Theory vs. Street Profits.
* Non-Title Match: Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca.
* Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
