Big Tag Team Match Set For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE has announced a major tag team match for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, which takes place next weekend. It was announced at the end of Friday night’s episode of WWE Smackdown that Cody Rhodes and CM Punk will team up to face Gunther and Sami Zayn at next Saturday’s Peacock special.

The match was set up by Nick Aldis, who was called out to the ring by Gunther. Gunther had demanded that he be put into the Punk vs. Rhodes match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, and Aldis responded in the main event segment that Gunther could battle both men in the tag match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Gunther responded by warning Aldis to fix the situation and he refused. The Career Killer then attacked Aldis, beating him down and locking in a sleeper until officials came down to break it up.
