AEW star Billy Gunn recently revealed that he is dealing with two stress fractures in his back. The 61-year-old is currently signed to the Tony Khan-led promotion and is also active on the independent circuit, having most recently wrestled on September 15, 2025, at IFW Monday Mayhem.
Billy Gunn recently appeared on Fuel & Flex with Charlie Williams Parks, where he detailed how he maintains his physical fitness despite being on the road for nearly four decades.
The WWE legend explained his workout methods, during which he revealed that he has two stress fractures in his back. Gunn said that he has found ways to make himself feel safer while doing squats.
“I love to squat. I don’t know what it is. I’m not a huge squatter. I don’t know what it is. I love the feeling; I love the movement. But I have two stress fractures in my back that absolutely smoke me when I do it. I refuse not to do it. I’m not gonna do it. I found ways to make myself feel safer doing it, just in case my back—every time I squat, I box squat. I just stretch and go, only because if something goes [wrong], I know that I have something that I can go to instead of going whoom! Trying to wipe out half the gym,” Billy Gunn revealed. The 61-year-old is best remembered for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment as part of The New Age Outlaws and D-Generation X.
