Bishop Kaun Wants To Compete in the AEW Continental Classic

During a recent interview with Fightful’s Grapsody, AEW star Bishop Kaun of The Demand spoke about wanting to compete in the upcoming AEW Continental Classic tournament. He also had high praise for new AEW stars, The New Level. Below are some highlights from Fightful:

Bishop Kaun on Wanting To Compete in the Continental Classic

““I feel like it’s one tournament where people can really truly showcase what they have and the abilities that they have, and it’s cool. The first year, it was a nice test run. Everyone was super into it. The second year, I saw some of the same players be in it who’ve already had opportunities. I think we should treat this, the Continental Classic, like people who don’t get singles opportunities and put them in this tournament. Let’s see how they do. Let’s see them get a run.

“Toa’s had single matches before. Me, I’m like an unknown. No one knows what I’m capable of. They see glimpses of it in these trios and tag matches. But, no, I want to be one of the best of all time. Like, I want singles gold. I want singles aspirations. Why wouldn’t we clamor for singles championships? So, no, put me in the Continental Classic Let me go fail. Let me go swim with the sharks. Let me see how I can keep up with these people or not.”

His Thoughts on The New Level

“Oh, I just got chills, and you got two future Hall of Famers. You got Kofi, him winning the world championship back in the day, literally brought tears to my eyes, like seeing him climb that mountain. Then you got Creed, who I feel like, for such a long time was so like undervalued of how good he is, and now he gets the ball out every week on Wednesday. Like those are cool dudes, but I’m gonna have to beat the ass this week.”

AEW has not yet announced the details and competitors for this year’s Continental Classic Tournament.
