Brandon Tate Alleges Tony Khan & AEW Pulled Outrunners From Indie Match With Them

Brandon Tate claims that AEW and Tony Khan pulled The Outrunners from an independent match against his brother and himself. As you probably know, Kevin Kelly and the Tate Twins have sued AEW seeking to void the trios’ arbitration clauses in their contracts and certify a class-action lawsuit, arguing that AEW is misclassifying its talent as independent contractors rather than employees. That suit was sent to arbitration by the judge in the case, though Kelly and the Tates have appealed that decision. Brandon posted to his Facebook account to state that Khan and AEW pulled The Outrunners from a match against them for ECC Wrestling that was scheduled for September 28th and accused them of “[affecting] “the independent promotion, wrestlers, fans and everyone involved or planned on attending the show next weekend” as a result.

Brendan noted, “My brother and I have grinded for almost two years trying get our life back from the hole they left us in and were finally able to return to wrestling and make a little money for ourselves to try and bounce back.” He accused Khan of ruining ROH and pulling talent from indie shows “just to get his way” while still classifying AEW talent as independent contractors.

Brendan added, “I apologize on behalf of my brother and ECC Wrestling for anyone looking forward to seeing us wrestle and giving ECC Wrestling a bad rep like they did the both of us both.”
