Brie Bella And Paige Retain WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles On Raw, Lyra Valkyria Snaps

Paige and Brie Bella remain WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after defeating Bayley and Lyra Valkyria on this week’s episode of WWE RAW. However, the bigger story may have been what happened after the match.

The title bout featured plenty of back-and-forth action, with both teams coming close to victory before the champions ultimately retained their gold. Throughout the contest, Valkyria and Bayley worked well together, isolating Brie and keeping the pressure on the defending champions. Despite that, Brie eventually created an opening and brought Paige back into the match.

The challengers came close to capturing the titles when Valkyria connected with Night Wing on Paige. However, Brie broke up the pin attempt before the referee could count three. Moments later, the champions capitalized. After Bayley was sent out of the ring, Paige connected with Ram-Paige on Valkyria and scored the decisive pinfall.

As a result, Paige and Brie Bella successfully retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. The celebration didn’t last long, though.

After the match, Bayley attempted to console and encourage Valkyria following the loss. Instead, Valkyria snapped. The former champion shoved Bayley and launched a vicious assault. Officials rushed to the ring as Valkyria repeatedly stomped and struck her tag team partner.

Even after referees intervened, Valkyria broke free and attacked Bayley again. The assault ended with Valkyria planting Bayley with Night Wing before delivering another stomp as officials checked on Bayley.
