Bronson Reed’s injury on this week’s WWE Raw caused changes to his match, but will also reportedly result in changes to the masked man angle. As noted, Reed suffered a distal bicep tear in his Elimination Chamber qualifying match with Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. Reed was previously noted as being scheduled to win the match, but WWE called an audible and Uso won the match to move onto the men’s Chamber match.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the finish of the match was set to involve the masked man that has been targeting The Vision as well as Logan Paul. No word on exactly how they were scheduled to be involved in the close of the bout. However, it is also reported that due to the change, the masked man angle will likely require heavy rewrites to be done to it.
The “masked man” has been coming after the Vision starting at the Royal Rumble, where they took out Bron Breakker at the start of the men’s Rumble match and caused his immediate elimination. The mystery individual has since gone after each member of The Vision in turn.
Reed is set to undergo surgery if he hasn’t already. He noted in a post on Twitter that he will be back “better than ever.”
