Brooks Jensen Wishes More Current Stars Had Paid Tribute to Dory Funk Jr. After Passing

Brooks Jensen says that he wishes more current wrestling stars had paid tribute to Dork Funk Jr. following the legend’s passing. As noted, the legendary WWE Hall of Famer passed away on Tuesday at the age of 85. Several wrestlers posted to social media to honor Funk after the news broke, as did a number of wrestling promotions.

However, Jensen thinks that it wasn’t quite enough. The WWE NXT star, who posted his own tribute to Funk posted to his Twitter account to comment on the matter. He wrote”

“Ngl I was hoping to see more of our current talent in pro wrestling to show some appreciation for a pioneer like Dory Funk Jr.”

Jensen’s former NXT colleague Joe Coffey responded to him, writing:

“98 percent of that roster dont have a clue mate dont worry ignorance must be bliss.”

Brooks Jensen still works regularly at live events; his WWE TV appearances have been as part of WWE EVOLVE thus far in 2026. His most recent TV match was on the July 22nd episode of EVOLVE, where he defeated Elijah Holyfield.
