– During Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray discussed the blockbuster return of CM Punk to WWE last Saturday at WWE Survivor Series. During the show, Bully Ray addressed rumors of WWE talents being upset about Punk being brought back and possibly leaving over it. According to the WWE Hall of Famer, he doesn’t see that happening. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
Bully Ray on wrestlers possibly leaving due to CM Punk coming back: “After that reaction the other night, there ain’t one ego in the locker room who’s gonna step up and go, ‘Damn it, if he’s here, I’m leaving.’ Nobody. Who’s gonna leave? Who’s going to leave the WWE right now with the business that it’s doing? And the great perception it has all over the world. Who’s leaving because Phil Brooks came back?”
On how he won’t believe the rumor unless he hears it from someone there: “Did you hear any boos? Did you see anybody in that crowd with anything less than a look of adulation on their face? 17,000-plus were going f***ing wild for it. Okay, you can tell me because it was in Chicago, I’ll let you have that — but I’m sorry. Unless I hear from somebody that was there … I don’t believe it.”
As previously noted, Seth Rollins’ visibly angry reactions over Punk returning last Saturday are rumored to be Rollins working heavily as part of a potential storyline.
