– Caleb Konley spoke with WrestleZone for a new interview discussing his joining the Cult of Lee, Brian Cage being in the X-Division and more. Highlights are below:

On how he got into pro wrestling: “It was just something I grew up liking. Just being a real-life superhero was appealing as a kid. By the time I got to high school I decided to make my dream a reality. I have never looked back.”

On how his love of wrestling led to being a member of the Impact Wrestling roster: “It was a long journey. It’s been almost 14 years now. I busted my ass and hustled every day. One opportunity led to the next. My non-stop hustle, non-stop riding after 14 years got me here.”

On what lead to his joining the Cult of Lee: “Well I have known Trevor for several years now. I have known him since he was in high school. He has been doing this since he was 15 I think. I think I meet him when he was 16 or so. He basically shown more promise at this than anyone else in the area since he was a kid. His dad was a wrestler. He wrestled for the Hardy’s federation. I’ve known Trevor for a long. I am just happy to be tagging with him.”

On if seeing LAX in such disarray makes him feel good: “Yeah. (laughs). LAX is a team we love to hate. They are great. They bring out the best in the Cult of Lee. We just look forward to beating the crap out of them and talking shit while we do it.”

On what we should expect from the Cult of Lee squaring off against LAX one more time: “More of same. We are going to go balls to the wall and give it our best. You all will have to watch to find out!”

On if he has abandoned his pursuit of the X-Division title: “Right now my full focus is on the tag titles. That’s what matters.”

On whether Brian Cage belongs in the X-Division: “The X-Division is for no limits. Brian Cage is a guy who exemplifies that himself, so he is welcome in the X-Division. Personally, I don’t like the guy very much after what he did to Trevor the other week. I didn’t appreciate that too much.”

On if the Cult of Lee will retaliate against Cage: “As of right now we are going full-head of steam for the tag team titles. We are putting Brian Cage on the backburner for now but he will get his due.”

On the Cult of Lee’s big tag team match next week with Fallah Bahh and KM: “I… I don’t like either one of those guys. I don’t like the “no, no, no”. I don’t like the Jersey trashiness of KM. They both make me want to throw up in my mouth every time I think of either of them.”

On if the return of Austin Aries make him want to pursue the Impact World Championship: “Yeah, sure. In the long term. But right now, are focused on the tag titles. Austin Aries can continue to collect belts if that makes him feel like he has accomplished something. Maybe he is inadequate in other parts of his life and that is why he feels the need to collect so maybe belts… I am not saying that for sure but maybe. At some point, I’ll be coming for that (world title) too. I don’t need a belt, a necklace, a ring, or a watch to make me feel good about myself. Knowing I am better than everyone else is enough.”
