Cam Skattebo has long been a vocal wrestling fan, and the New York Giants star believes WWE is an “option” for him once he’s done with football. Skattebo was recently approached by TMZ, who asked him if he would be interested in stepping into the ring once his NFL career has come to an end.
Skattebo, who was part of a largely non-phsyical spot on the November 17th episode of Raw, said that he would be interested. You can see highlights below, per F4W Online:
On Potentially Going to WWE After His NFL Career Is Done:
“There’s a chance. I mean, I feel like I’m a pretty good actor, so there’s a chance there. There’s a bunch of chances. I feel like I can do something outside of football when I’m done playing, and I’m not too sure where I’m going to go with that, but WWE is definitely an option.”
On If He Can Wrestle:
“Oh yeah, absolutely… Just growing up watching it, and then I had an older brother that was bigger than me, so his reach was always longer, so I never was able to punch him. It was just wrestling the whole time.”
Skattebo is out of action after undergoing surgery in October for a leg injury. His involvement in the spot on Raw drew some criticism from pundits online, to which he said on Twitter:
“If you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on.”
