Carlito Wants People To Stop Asking Him To Spit Apples At Them

Carlito is known for spitting apples on WWE TV, but he wishes that fans would stop asking him to do it to them. The former WWE star had biting into an apple and spitting it at enemies as a part of his gimmick during his first run in WWE, something that has become a calling card for him.

Carlio was asked about his interactions with fans while on Insight With Chris Van Vliet. He said that he signs a lot of apples for people and he doesn’t quite get it, but it’s something he’s okay with. Spitting the applies back though is another matter. You can see the highlights below:

On If He’s Ever Signed Apples:

“Yeah, all the time. I sign fake ones, but a lot of times they’ll bring me a real one. I don’t know why, they’ll be dead, you know, be rotten in a day. But they say they have all kind of plans. They’re gonna put them in a plastic bag or put them in the freezer. Whatever.”

On If People Ask Him To Bite Apples and Sign Them:

“What I’m asked the most is to spit in their face. They go, ‘How much you charge to spit in my face?’ I’m like, why would anybody even want that, number one. Number two, I think that’s a lawsuit. I mean, they could come back and sue me. Please stop asking this request. I don’t do it.”

On His ‘Spit Or Swallow’ Shirt:

“Yes, I can’t believe Stephanie approved that shirt, because even for back then, that was still [risque].”

On How’s Idea the Shirt Was:

“I think it was mine. I remember pitching it to Stephanie, and then her coming back, like a week or two later. Oh, yeah, we approved it.”
