Carmelo Hayes Defeats Apollo Crews At NXT Vengeance Day, Dabba-Kato Returns To Attack Crews
The battle between two of NXT’s best happened tonight at Vengeance Day, with Carmelo Hayes defeating Apollo Crews. The two battled in a two out of three falls match, where Hayes beat Crews in two straight falls. Hayes won the first fall by submission after putting Crews in the crossface. He took the second fall by pinfall after hitting a top rope leg drop.
Towards the end of the match, Dabba-Kato, the former Commander Azeez, came out to help stop Trick Williams from interfering. However, the distraction still cost Crews the second fall. After the match, Dabba-Kato hugged Crews before attacking him.
