Former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin attended WWE’s live event on Thursday evening, according to a new report. As noted, WWE held a stop on its Summer Tour on Thursday night in Allentown, Pennsylvania. PWInsider reports that Silkin was in attendance at the show and was seated at ringside for the event.
The report notes that several ROH alumnus including CM Punk and Damian Priest stopped to hug Silkin following their respective matches.
Silkin owned Ring of Honor from 2004 to 2011, having bought it from Doug Gentry who had in turn bought it from Rob Feinstein after the latter was caught in an internet sting trying to solicit sex on the internet from someone he thought was underage. Silkin was the owner and promoter of ROH until the company was solid to Sinclair Broadcast Group, who owned and operated it until 2021. Tony Khan bought the company in 2022.
Cary Silkin served as an ambassador for ROH during Sinclair’s ownership and retired in 2022. He made two appearances on AEW Dynamite in 2022.
