During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, former WWE Superstar and TNA wrestler Cedric Alexander spoke about his epic match with Kota Ibushi in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament in 2016.
Speaking on the matchup, he recalled Matt Bloom, his assigned agent for the match, telling him to “go crazy.” Alexander said of the matchup (via Fightful), “The C.W.C., my second match in against Kota Ibushi, I remember the agent for that match was Matt Bloom, and he wasn’t even there when the match happened.” He continued, “He had another show to go to. He just said, ‘Hey, kid, do whatever you want. This is your big time. Go crazy.’”
Kota Ibushi beat Cedric Alexander to advance in the second-round matchup. TJ Perkins ultimately won the tournament and was crowned the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
