Chad Gable remains the WWE Intercontinental Champion, defeating Dragon Lee to retain his title on WWE Raw. Gable put his title on the line against Lee on Monday night’s episode of WWE Raw.

The bout went a little over 15 and a half minutes as Lee pitted his high-flying offense against Gable’s technical skills. The two went back and forth for the entirety of the bout, with Gable countering an Operation Dragon into an anklelock at one point only to have Lee escape the hold. Lee would eventually it his finisher out of a series of German suplexes for a nearfall.

The match came to an end after Lee got a two-count for a Styles Clash, and Gable was able to grab the challenger for an anklelock. Lee tried to fight his way out, but eventually had to tap to give Gable the win. You can see the clips from the WWE Raw match below. The two had a show of mutual respect after the match.

Gable has held the WWE Intercontinental Championship for 44 days now. He won the title from Penta at WWE SummerSlam night two on August 2nd.
