Then. Now. Forever. Together!

We’re in Mexico City! We go back to Penta defeating Rey Fenix to earn a title shot against Roman Reigns. Roman & Penta promise to beat each other. Roman Reigns EXITS HIS AIRPLANE AND GETS IN A CAR! Penta RIDES A HORSE SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE! Joe Tessitore & Corey Graves are our hosts. Hope Corey’s voice is in better shape tonight; he was sounding rough on Sunday.

Rey Mysterio’s music plays! Rey makes his way to the ring wearing his neck brace and an Eddie Guerrero t-shirt. Adam Pearce is in the ring too. Rey gets the cheap pops for Raw being back in Mexico and talks about being proud to be a Mexican. The one moment that really stood out to Rey this weekend took place in Chile. We see clips of Stephanie Vaquer’s victory over Liv Morgan, with Becky Lynch doing her best Jessika Carr impersonation as a referee. Rey then introduces Stephanie, who makes her entrance to approval from the fans. Stephanie is in her fighting gear…

The fans chant “Ole Vaquer”. Stephanie says she’s got her title back. Stephanie thanks her fans and says it was her dream to win the title in Chile. Now it’s an honor to celebrate in Mexico. This is when we hear Liv Morgan’s music, and Liv & Dominik Mysterio are in the aisle. Liv congratulates Stephanie for being a hypocrite and says her celebration makes her sick. She got screwed by Becky Lynch and that’s the only reason Stephanie won. Liv says she’s still the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time. Liv calls Rey a deadbeat daddy, but hanging around Stephanie is even lower. Dominik says he sees a deadbeat & a cheater, and that’s what a real champion looks like. Rey asked if Dominik lost his championship yesterday, and they show clips of Dom losing to El Grande Americano at TripleMania. Dom challenges Rey & Stephanie to a mixed tag team match right now! Pearce says Rey isn’t cleared, and Dominik calls Rey’s injury phony.

El Grande Americano is here! Grande comes out to the cheers of the crowd. The fans chant “Ole Grande”. Grande tells Dominik he’ll take Rey’s spot in the match and Pearce makes it official in Spanish. We’ll see that next!

Rey is still out at ringside for some unknown reason. Stephanie with a suplex and a powerslam on Liv. Liv is driven down for a two count. Liv flips out of the SVB and kicks Stephanie, but Stephanie no-sells and dragon screws her out of the corner. Devil’s Kiss! Meteroa in the corner. Dom back in the ring, Liv hits a backstabber due to the distraction and embraces Dom. Grande attacks Dom, then cuts Dom off on a 619 attempt. Grande teases one of his own, but Liv slaps him. Stephanie superkicks her, and now Liv & Dom are both in position for Stephanie to hit a 619! Stephanie & Grande go up top, but here’s the entirety of Judgment Day to break that up and cause the disqualification!

Winners: El Grande Americano & Stephanie Vaquer (8:59 shown via disqualification)

Dom ends up dragging Rey in the ring by the neckbrace! He shakes Rey until Grande breaks it up. Grande goes for the running headbutt but JD McDonagh cuts him off with a headbutt of his own. JD hits a moonsault on Grande. Liv hits Oblivion on Stephanie, and Dom frog splashes Rey! Dom & Liv hold up the titles they got beaten for and toss them at Grande & Stephanie.

Joe & Corey introduce Marcelo Rodriguez & Jerry Soto, the Spanish announce team. We go back to last week when the Vision beat up Oba Femi. Oba got stepped on, apparently he got mad about it, I didn’t notice any of it while typing but it was a thing people talked about. I tend to think it’s not a huge deal but they don’t replay that bit in the video package either.

Dragon Lee & Penta pump each other up for their championship matches tonight.

Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Big Cass vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Austin Theory (w/Maxxine Dupri): They look up at the briefcases, then Theory tries to make a deal with Evans. Evans will join Bron Breakker in the MITB Men’s Ladder Match! Bron might throw him into the fifth row. Joe & Corey talk about how Roman will be defending against all of Mexico. We go back to last Monday when Royce Keys & OTM destroyed the Usos’ Cadillac.

The Usos complain about the 946 burning their rental car and want to get them tonight. Jacob Fatu (w/ugly Christmas sweater) dissuades them from this since Roman Reigns has a title defense tonight. Jey says they need to protect Roman. Jacob says they won’t target Roman tonight, they’ll bump them off one by one then get Roman at the end. Jacob says the play is to stick together.

Chad offers his hand for a shake, Lee hugs him, hands are raised and we see mutual respect! Gable leaves the ring and celebrates with fans while Lee sits in the corner.

Bayley says that Lyra Valkyria left her in a pool of her own blood. Lyra turned her back on something special and tried to use everything that she stands for against her. She’s fought for the opportunity to make a difference, Lyra is selfish just like everyone else. Bayley will stand in her way and try to end her career before it even starts. This isn’t the first time someone has tried to use her vulnerability against her, but it will be the last. She’s the standard of women’s wrestling.

Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Lola Vice: We see some NXT clips of Kelani during her entrance and the announcers put her over as an unmatched athlete. Nice to see them do that, not everyone watches NXT. I do mostly due to contractual obligations. Lola gets her accomplishments listed. She also gets to dance. Lola joins Sol Ruca in the Women’s MITB Ladder Match. Joe & Corey tosses us to a 946 video. Royce says that paranoia is a bitch. In the 946 it goes one by one by one. Why would they even be in Mexico anyway? Keys blows out his lighter and wishes Roman luck.

Fatal Influence is shown at the Netflix House. That’s what it takes for me to mention one of these commercials.

Next Week in San Antonio: We don’t know yet!

Joe Hendry has an album coming out! His hit single is “Give Joe Hendry Every Single Belt (Right Now)”.

Becky Lynch daps up Stephanie Vaquer outside, but her time for helping has run out and she’ll be wanting a title shot soon.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Penta: Penta has such a wide headdress that he has to come out through the side. He’s got sparklers coming out of it too, pretty cool presentation. Not as many ones in the air tonight for the OTC as usual, we might get to see him be an actual heel again so that could be fun.
