Backstage Update on TNA Status of Léi Yǐng Lee

Former TNA Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Léi Yǐng Lee has been off TNA programming for a while. Fans have not seen her since she lost a title rematch to Xia Brookside on TNA iMPACT! earlier in July.

A new report from PWInsider Elite (via Fightful) has an update on her status. According to PWInsider, Lee has been on an extended trip in her home country of China.

The report also notes that Lee has been visiting family, as she had not been back in China in years. Additionally, the former Knockouts champ is reportedly still under contract to TNA Wrestling.

It’s unknown when Léi Yǐng Lee will be making her eventual TNA Wrestling return. She’s still currently listed on TNA’s roster on the company’s official website.
