Backstage Update On TNA Wrestling’s Potential Working Relationship With OVW & New ‘Xplosion’ Taping Venue

As noted, PWInsider Elite reported in June 2026 that TNA Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) were looking to enter a working relationship, with the latter expected to serve as the new developmental system for TNA.

According to the latest report from the same outlet [accessed by WrestlingInc.com], the potential deal is likely a result of both companies having the same investors. The report further added that though TNA President Carlos Silva has attended OVW events in the past, that’s not been the case in recent times.

PWInsider Elite also provided information on the promotion’s plans for upcoming Xplosion tapings. According to the report, the company is looking to film its Xplosion shows at The Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky, as it would be cost-effective. Currently, Xplosion is filmed at the same venue as iMPACT.

As of this writing, two more tapings are scheduled for this year, i.e., the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas, on December 18 and 19, and the WinSport Event Centre in Calgary, Canada, on November 18 and 19.
