TNA has been working on getting new contracts negotiated with talent, and a new report has a bit of an update on the matter. As reported, TNA President Carlos Silva said at a talent meeting that the company was working on “getting a lot of new deals done” as multiple contracts were set to expire within the next couple of months.
Fightful Select has clarified that the talent meeting took place in San Antonio, not at the tapings in Dothan, Alabama last week. In addition, it was noted that the promotion will be announcing a number of additional signings via media outlets in the weeks to come.
TNA recently announced the signing of Shayna Baszler, as well as Shotzi Blackheart. Baszler debuted at Bound For Glory and won the Knockouts Tag Team Championships with Zoey Serrano. Blackheart made her debut on this past week’s episode of Impact, allying with Allie.
AJ Francis’ contract is set to expire before the year’s end, though both sides are looking to get a new deal done.
