Chad Gable to Face Rusev on 6/15 WWE RAW

WWE Superstar Chad Gable will be in action for the first time since the Mask vs. Mask match at Noche de Los Grandes this coming Monday night on RAW.

Ever since he unmasked himself, Gable has been on a major redemption curve, seeking forgiveness for his actions against luchadors during his stint as El Grande Americano. This past Monday night on RAW, Gable took another giant stride in his redemption arc, as he not only apologized to Penta and Rey Mysterio, but he also came to the defense of the current AAA General Manager after he was unmasked by Ethan Page and Rusev.

Gable fought off both Page and Rusev and proceeded to hand over the mask to Rey. Earlier today, Gable took to social media and acknowledged the acceptance he has received from everyone since dropping the mask. However, he added it would mean nothing if he didn’t live up to his own expectations, and his match with Rusev is his first step toward the path that he has defined for himself.

He wrote:

“The acceptance I’ve been given by EVERYONE upon dropping the mask and returning to #WWERaw has been overwhelming and will be forever treasured by me. But if I don’t perform and live up to my own expectations, it’ll all be for nothing. This Monday, Rusev is the first stop on a very important path I’ve defined for myself. Now or never. Come along for the ride.”

The June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW will take place at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
