It’s been one year since Chris Bey suffered a severe neck injury, and the TNA star took to social media to reflect on his recovery. Bey suffered a broken neck at the October 27th, 2024 TNA Impact tapings. Since that time, Bey has been focused on his recovery and eventually making his return to the ring.
Bey posted to his Instagram account on Monday to reflect on the past year. He posted a message talking about his relationship to wrestling and thanking everyone, including TNA, who have supported him in his recovery.
Bey wrote:

Wrestling has always been my life LONG before I made it a career. Since I was 3 I’ve been addicted and I’ve known this was what I wanted to do with my life. Rarely does one get to chase and achieve their dreams. If this was to be the end of my journey, I had no regrets in the decisions I’ve made that led me to this moment. Had a lot of conversations with God, and understanding that I was still alive for a purpose made me push everyday with an unimaginable strength and drive.
The support of my amazing girlfriend, the best tag team partner ever, TNA and the entire wrestling world kept me feeling like I mattered and I was cared about. I’m so grateful and thankful for all of it. The work from doctors and staff, top notch. Today, I celebrate life because a year ago I thought it was the end of mine. Greatest Story Ever Told is far from over.
I love you all. – Chris
JC Mateo also posted to social media to mark the anniversary. He wrote of Bey on Twitter:
No excuses, this man is a literal example of that. So happy to have run into this him and see first hand his progress. If you think you can’t do it, don’t listen to me, look at this man and follow his example. Keep going forward kid!”
Bey said in a recent interview that he can now live independently.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Bey in his continued recovery.
