Chris Jericho Beats Nick Wayne On AEW Dynamite, Laid Out After Match

Chris Jericho picked up a win over Nick Wayne on this week’s AEW Dynamite, but Wayne got his revenge after the bell. Jericho and Wayne faced off on Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, as Jericho sought to use his veteran advantage over Wayne’s high-flying offense.

The 14 minute bout saw the Wayne show Jericho little respect early on, but he paid for it as Jericho battled back with a series of chops. The match went back and forth a bit, with Wayne in control during the commercial break. Jericho again fought back and stopped Wayne’s momentum with a Code Breaker to a diving Wayne.

The finish of the match saw the two tee off with punches and Jericho tore Wayne’s shell necklace off. An angered Wayne charged into a double leg takedown and as Wayne tried to escape a Walls of Jericho, Jericho sat down for the pinfall.

After the match, Jericho offered Wayne a hand that was refused. Jericho went to go and got low blowed, with Wayne then wrapping the necklace around his fist for punches. He then grabbed a chair and beat Jericho down.
