Chris Jericho signed a new deal with AEW on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite before bringing back The List after a confrontation with Ricochet. Wednesday night’s show saw Jericho come out to address his return on last week’s episode. He said that it was good to be back and noted that he would sign his new AEW contract in the ring.

Jericho looked back on his career and talked about taking a big risk by signing with AEW in 2019, but that it paid off and he’s glad to have helped the company grow. He admitted that he’s had both great moments and some “stinkers” but wanted to get in the best shape of his career before coming back. He said he didn’t care if he is opening the show, if he’s in the middle of the card, or if he is in the main event.

The Demand then came out, and Ricochet told Jericho not to sign the contract, because he’s rusty and has been away for a year with his band. He said Jericho was one of the greatest AEW World Champions of all time, but that he (Ricochet) was the man right now in AEW, and no one wants Jericho there.

Jericho fired some shots back at Ricochet and said his AEW contract included a clause where he could pick his opponent for Dynasty. He then chose Ricochet and announced that Ricochet had made The List.

The List, of course, is one of Jericho’s more popular gimmicks from his WWE run. You can see highlights from the segment below.

We’ll have an updated card for AEW Dynasty, which takes place on April 12th from Vancouver, British Columbia live on PPV, after tonight’s show.
