Chris Jericho ended up bloodied at Tommaso Ciampa’s hands on AEW Collision, and he sent a warning to Ciampa after the show. It was announced on Saturday’s episode that the two would compete at AEW Beach Break on July 8th during a face-off that ended with a fight. Ciampa took advantage in the brawl with a low blow, followed bya running knee.
Jericho appeared in a post-AEW Collision digital exclusive in which he was busted open a little. He kept things short and sweet, telling Ciampa that he was grateful for being woken up like that.
“Ciampa,” Jericho began. “I gotta thank you, because I needed this. But trust me, you’re not gonna thank me for what happens to you now.”
AEW Beach Break takes place in Clearwater, Florida and airs live on TBS and HBO Max. Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa is the first match made official for the show.
