Chris Masters Recounts Diddy’s Strange Backstage Visit to WWE

As “The Masterpiece,” Chris Masters (who has said he’s open to a return if either WWE or AEW wants to call him) certainly knew how to put on a performance as a man full of himself. In reality, however, his arrogance was nothing compared to that of some of the celebrities who worked with WWE in his day. It won’t likely surprise anyone in hindsight, but Masters told TMZ a story about when Diddy came to visit.

“He just he made a bad impression on the boys,” said Masters, clarifying, “I wasn’t there, from what I remember. I don’t know where I was but I wasn’t there. But um yeah, he just made a bad impression because everybody just thought he was so full of himself.”

“But the main thing was, and part of me can kind of appreciate this cuz I am a sneaker head. I love sneakers, but Diddy apparently had gotten some really exclusive, rare, I don’t know if it was [Air] Jordans or something, but he had his assistant carrying it around on this fluff pillow uh just trailing behind him the whole day.”

“Say what you want about wrestlers, but I mean, you know, to them that just came off a bit too much. I mean, it’s completely ridiculous, but as a sneaker head, there’s a part small part of me that thinks it’s kind of…sneaker heads are really like that. Like, you know, if you get a pair of sneakers you want, you want to put on display, but it’s a whole ‘nother level to put on display and then go mobile with it.”
