Ciocco’s AEW Dynamite Review 8.12.26
SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from The Pearl Theater at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the road to All-In London is getting a lot closer into view! However, before we can get there, we still have business to attend to in regard to match set-up for All-In London. As such, tonight’s show will feature two of the Continental Cup Tourney matches and we will figure out who will enter the Casino Gauntlet Match in the number two spot.
For more on this and everything else, let’s roll our Headlines!
So, how is everyone going on this Hump Day? I had weened myself off of streaming and TV for a little bit, however, I remembered that there were four episodes of the second season of X-Men ’97 that I hadn’t watched yet, so I am caught up there. I also checked out both Furious and The Shards on Hulu, and I am really digging both series. In fact, you could say I am digging them a LOT more than I am digging ANYTHING that the Phillies are attempting to NOT accomplish. But, hey, the Fever are a 21-win team right now, so my sports mind hasn’t completely melted yet.
But enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to spin the wheel, get a 21 (Plex), and take home that Dynamite Money!

Tonight, Dynamite is LIVE from Sin City AKA the Gambling Capital of the World! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Paul Wight Y’all are our power Trivium for tonight!
BRUVSPREAY! Willie Goat is here to talk to us! He grabs a mic and he wants to know how we are doing? Has anyone lost a lot of money tonight? Will believes in you, go get it back. Last week, he had the honor and privilege to be in Arena Mexico again. The history, the feelings, the Mexican fans know how to lift his spirits. Last year, he was going into Arena Mexico, and I got a call from me Mum. And she told me that my grandfather passed away. The idea that he would never see me wrestle again in England killed Will, but it killed him more than he wasn’t there the day he married his beautiful wife.
It’s all good, though, and if Big Ben was standing next to me, he would say, “Oi, why are you crying in a Mexican toilet? There are people to go flip!” Will says he will leave every piece of his body in the ring for us! 25 days out from the biggest night of my bloody life, and I am in a Mexican street fight? Why? Because I am here to set an example. And He hopes that everyone at home enjoyed it, because it sucked for me. And he knows one person that was at home watching it from his sofa, and that was our World Champion Kenny Omega! Now, Will thinks Kenny is sitting at home and wondering if he is going to pull the trigger. And at the end of the night, Kenny will say, “Oh shit, he did pull the trigger!”
Will knows that Kenny is in the back tonight! What an accomplishment! He’s earning his paycheck. So, when Michael Nakazawa is done shaving your Canadian private parts (LMAO), then he would like to see Kenny out here in the ring.
But he doesn’t get Kenny, he gets Don Callis instead! Las Vegas is the home of All Elite Wrestling, and while Will couldn’t wait to compete here, Don couldn’t wait to get the hell out of here. He needed a tool to exploit this company, and he used a boy that he had raised since he was five. Together, Callis and Omega screwed Jon Moxley out of the World Title, and they went on the run of a lifetime with the title. But Omega made a critical error when he thought he could do it by himself. And that is why Don stabbed Kenny in the face, and trust him, he has done more damage to Kenny than his diverticulitis could ever do.
And so that brings Don to Will. He brought Ospreay into the company, and he cultivated him into the star that he is. And just like with Kenny, Ospreay decided he didn’t need Don and went out on his own. And now, you have to do it alone, UNLESS you want to run it with Jon Moxley. Oh, wait, you can’t. And Callis assures Ospreay that the road to All-In isn’t paved in gold, it’s paved in blood.
Here come DCF members from behind to attack Ospreay! Trent, Rocky, Doyle, and Davis lay a beating on Ospreay. KENNY IS HERE TO SAVE WILL! Or is he? He did take his time to get down the ramp. He has a pipe and he hits Davis with it! He hits Doyle! RPG Vice hightail it! Kenny approaches Will and threatens to hit him with his pipe. Omega says that he heard what Ospreay says and when it comes from the heart it is pure. But Ospreay wears his heart on his sleeve. And he told Will about Don Callis, and he told him about Jon Moxley, but he refused to listen.
Omega considers Ospreay a fool for this. But this isn’t the man that Kenny wants to fight at Wembley Stadium. Omega extends his hand, and after some trepidation, Ospreay accepts it and both men are face-to-face. But Omega warns Ospreay that he cannot help him again like he just did, because from here on out, it is just Will and Kenny.
Ospreay grabs the mic back and he says that he didn’t need, nor did he ask for Kenny’s help. He says thank you, but he isn’t going to need him in his corner from here on out. Ospreay leaves the ring, and Kenny’s music clips after Will’s hits lol.
We get our first shot of the guys at ring side. They really made a pristine effort to make Paul look like he was shorter lol.
Excalibur brings up the Continental Cup beginning on Collision this past Saturday. We see Claudio Castagnoli, Orange Cassidy, and Eddie FREAKING Kingston win their matches in the quarters. And we have two more tonight on tap! Excalibur runs down the rest of the card for tonight. Our 3-way dance for the second spot in the Casino Gauntlet match at All-In is coming up next!
But first, we get highlights from last week, where Andrade El Idolo won the number one entrant for the Casino Gauntlet only to get brutally attacked by MJF, who cut his usual promo. Money, blah, my title, blah, schmucks, blah, you know the drill.
3-Way Dance for the number two spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All-In London: MJF vs. Nick Wayne vs. Speedball Mike Bailey
Excalibur lets us know that Andrade El Idolo is not cleared to travel. My only question is HOW YOU KNOW?
The bell rings, and MJF leaves the ring to join commentary. I won’t repeat what he said about Bailey and Wayne, but he did call Schiavone an old prick. That’s not off base. Bailey and Wayne fight to a stand-still, MJF is on the apron, and Bailey kicks him right in the face. Speedball sends Wayne from the ring, but as he goes to fly, Wayne returns to the ring, and he sends Bailey to the floor. Nick fires himself up, and he hits a Senton Atomico onto Bailey!
Wayne shows off a bit, but he ends up getting kicked by Speedball. Bailey with the Triangle Moonsault to Wayne! MJF in the ring, he runs the ropes for a bit, and then he flips off the fans. Never change lol. Bailey to the top rope, Speedball with a missile dropkick as MJF yells “OH SHIT!”. Bailey back to the top, but MJF sweeps out his legs, and he crashes to the mat.
MJF and Wayne are in the ring, but MJF implores Nick to help him attack Speedball instead. MJF says he will teach Nick something, and both men take turns punching Bailey in the gut. Wayne with a standing Shooting Star Press to Bailey, but MJF goes for the pin, which Wayne negates. They argue for a bit, MJF slaps Nick in the face, so Wayne clips MJF with a SUPERKICK!
This buys Speedball time to recover, and he overpowers Wayne with a running kick to the face. Kicks above, below, and in the middle floor Wayne, which leads to a Shooting Star Press, but Wayne moves. Wayne with a Snap German, but Bailey rolls through, trips up Nick, and he hits the standing rotating double knee drop! Wayne to the floor, Bailey looks to follow up, but MJF goes after him. MJF looking Heat Seaker, but Bailey fights him off. MJF slides through his legs, and Bailey nails both MJF and Wayne with a moonsault! Ex-Man lets us know that we HAVE to step away for 119 seconds!
MJF is flat in the ring as Bailey heads to the top when we come back. Speedball is taking WAY to long, and as if on cue, MJF moves. However, MJF runs into a Powerslam from Bailey but he’s out at two. Wayne is back, but Bailey drills him with the Falcon Arrow! He did the deal, and now, he’s going to hit the Shooting Star Press from the top! The cover, but Wayne is out at two. Speedball sets up for Time and Adventure, but Wayne kicks him out of sequence. Prodigy Plex from Wayne to Bailey, but MJF makes the save.
Wayne kicks MJF in the dick and he makes fun of him. Nick looking Wayne’s World, but MJF with an anti-air elbow! MJF with the Powerbomb over the knee, but Bailey breaks it up with the running SSP! Bailey hits Wayne with the Ultimo Weapon, but MJF throws Speedball out of the ring. MJF locks Wayne into the Salt of the Earth, and Nick taps out!
WINNER: Everyone’s favorite arsehole, MJF!
TIME: 12:05
THOUGHTS: I think the ending was an adamant conclusion, but the dynamic between the face-heel and even heel-heel interaction was really kind of neat. MJF and Wayne worked together, but there was not stopping MJF from getting what he wanted.
RATING: ***1/2
Post-match, MJF hits all of his usual heel bits. Andrade’s music plays, MJF looks worried, but then he smiles and laughs. He fooled us because we are stupid. MJF says that Andrade is afraid of him, Kenny Omega is afraid of him and Will Ospreay is afraid of him. You boys can get on your knees and pray to God, but you’re going to learn that only the Devil can hear you. And you will learn that MJF is the one true World Champion.
Well, compared to his usual promos, that felt like a short story versus Tom Clancy’s The Bear and the Dragon.
Divine Dominion are in the Brawling Birds bar! Everyone talks about how the Birds are undefeated. but they aren’t as dominant as Divine Dominion. And of course they get a title shot in their home country. But it won’t matter, because they will beat the Brawling Birds just like they have beaten everyone else. They go to do a salute to the Birds, but they drop the mugs on the floor. Somewhere, Hangman Page is seething.
Mick Foley has the Bang Bang Gang in the back, and he is talking to Switchblade Jay White! Thankfully, Mick isn’t barking like a dog for Megan and Lena, but he does the BANG BANG initiation for the BBG. Jay White says this is a tale as old as time, and David Finlay, you will have to go one-on-one with the Switchblade alone tonight. And your little Sheilagh won’t help you in the slightest, because Jay is going to defeat you David, and he is going to move one step closer to winning the Continental Title. And if you aren’t down with that, they’ve got two words for you…GUNS UP! Should note that Mick tried to do his BANG BANG motion, but he was corrected and did the Guns Up too lol.
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
It’s time to breathe with the Switchblade and bark like a Dog!
Continental Cup Quarterfinals Match: Switchblade Jay White vs. David Finlay
Excalibur tells us that these matches have no time limit, which is interesting to me because the actual title match has a 20-minute time limit.
Finlay charges at the bell, but White sends him to the apron. Jay chops David off the apron and to the arena floor, where White continues the chops. Jay smashes David’s face off the announce table, and the fight goes back into the ring, where White continues with chops in the corner.
White fires off Finlay, but David with a shoulder tackle and an elbow drop. He punts the pin attempt to land wild grounded punches. Finlay celebrates his handy work in the corner, and he eats a chop for it. White with a backbreaker, and that gets him a two. Finlay traps White in the ropes and he lays him out with a leg drop. White won’t stay down for long, as he pulls out a Snap Rana!
Finlay to the apron again, White hits him with a front face suplex on the apron. Another chop, and White returns Finlay to the ring and gets a two. Jurassic Park referee Rick Knox keeps White from attacking Finlay, and David uses the distraction to hit Jay with a double chop to the throat. A lariat from Finlay has him in control as we hit the break.
Finlay is still in control as we return. He hits a corner splash and looks for a suplex, but White reverses into a corner suplex. Pretty sure Paul just called David Fit Finlay lol. White pulls in Finlay and hits a DDT for a two. White’s overhead suplex is countered by Finlay. White looking Bladerunner, but it turns into a battle of the roll-up. Finlay with a backbreaker of his own, but White kicks out at two.
Finlay forces White to have a seat on the top turnbuckle, but he can’t stop Jay from landing punches to the face. The action returns to the mat, where White hits a Flatliner and a German, but White lets go and favors his neck. Commentary goes silent thinking it could be something serious, but Jay is back to his feet. Well, for a second anyway, as Finlay elbows him in the back of the neck. Finlay plants White with the DDT, but Jay is out at two.
Rick Knox Jackson checks on White, but Finlay has other ideas. Finlay has White up, but Jay escapes and peppers Finlay with slaps and a kick. Cutthroat Driver from White, but Finlay is out at two. White looking for the Bladerunner, but Finlay counters with the Brainbuster over his knee! The cover, but Jay is out at 2.9! Finlay picks up White and talk some smack before hitting a short arm lariat. A second one, but White doesn’t go down, but he does on a third one. Finlay has White up, but Jay slides out the back door, and he scores with the Bladerunner, and Switchblade is moving on!
WINNER: Breathe with the Switchblade!
TIME: 13:10
THOUGHTS: A good match, although if I am being honest, there wasn’t as much vitriol and anger as I would have hoped for considering how deeply rooted their distain is for one another. White winning makes sense, and it gives him the one up over Finlay and his Dogs cohorts.
RATING: ***1/2
ABRUPT COMMERCIAL BREAK FOR THE SAKE OF BEING ABRUPT!
Mr. Saturday Night at 6:05 on TBS himself is in the ring, and he wants to welcome out the NEW AEW Trio’s Champions! Hangman Adam Page and Brodido make their way to the ring! Tony says that Bandido is a Champion in Ring of Honor and also in AEW. Bandido speaks to us in Spanish, so I’m lost lol. Brody King says he prefers actions over words, but he lets us know that they are the new Trio’s Champion! Hangman wants to know of it is okay for a white boy to speak in Espanol?
But we won’t know, because SWERVE STRICKLAND IS BACK!!! Prince Nana waves him down to the ring, and they slowly get into the ring. Nana takes the mic from Tony and says that his breath keeps getting worse every week. LMAO! Nana will be asking the questions from now on, but his first question is, “WHOSE HOUSE?”
Strickland says do you know the phrase trauma bonding? Because that is what he is looking at right now, three people who have nothing in common, well, except one thing, and that is Strickland. He stepped into Bandido’s saloon, and he stomped everyone out. And they tore the house down at Double or Nothing in New York, but in the end, Swerve won. Which brings him to you, Brody King! Swerve put you in the rearview mirror on the road to getting a shot at the AEW World Title. And, of course, it always comes back to you, Hangman Page, considering all of their history. Earlier this year they were on the same, no pun intended, page. So, Swerve wants to know what Hangman’s end game is after he cannot challenge for the World Title again. You going to ride off into the sunset with these guys.
Hangman says that Swerve has done some heinous things this year, and he has no room to talk. Swerve goes to respond, but The Lethal Twist and the Demand are here! Ricky says he doesn’t know why Swerve is here, because this is Trio’s business. And he heard that Prince Nana wants to get his decrepit ass back into the ring, and please let it be true, because GOA would love to lay him out. And he knows why Swerve is in the spot that he is in, because you, along with the rest of the roster, showered him in toilet paper. Holy crap, what a callback lol.
Ricky says you could have had THESE guys watching your back, but you wouldn’t have respected them. And by his count, there are nine people out here who hate your ass. And he wants to address the Champions after they got screwed last week. So, Ricky wants Strickland to Swerve his ass out of his arena.
Swerve and Nana walk up the ramp, and they taunt him until he walks to the video wall. Strickland says one more thing; he knows that Brody King does all the barking, but Ricochet is the bitch. Everyone else has to hold Ricky back, and Hangman Page says he thinks Swerve has a point. If you want these titles, then come down here and try to take them for us.
The combined forces of the Lethal Twist and the Demand walk down to the ring, but Ricky says they aren’t doing this tonight, they will do this on their time.
We cut to the back, where Renee Paquette was set to do an interview with our Women’s World Champion. However, Mercedes Mone showed up, and she attacked Willow with her Owen Hart title. Some moron keeps screaming, “SASHA COME BACK HOME! SASHA, WE MISS YOU!” And I don’t know WHO he is talking about, but I really hope that this poor guy finds Sasha sooner rather than later! 😉
AEW TNT Title Match: The Jet Kevin Knight (C) vs. Chris Jericho
Callis gives Knight a pep talk before the match. Aubrey Edwards wants Knight’s title, but he won’t give it up. When he finally does, he uses that to his advantage as he goes on the attack before the bell. Knight remains on the attack, until Jericho counters with chops and he hits a suplex into a Brainbuster!
Leaping Lariat attempt from Knight, but he is caught and Jericho hits a backbreaker for a two. Jericho slaps Knight around a bit before putting Knight on the top rope. Jericho lands the ten punches and then hits an avalanche Snap Rana! Jericho sends Knight to the floor with a clothesline. Jericho heads to the top and he hits Knight with a crossbody block!
Jericho has a seat with Paul as the fans chant his name! Paul tells Jericho to go beat this kid already lol. Jericho with an Irish whip, but Knight balances off the top of the barricade and comes back with a corkscrew kick! Knight uses the announce table and he hits the flying lariat as we hit the break.
Knight lays out Jericho in the ring with another flying lariat as we return. Knight looks to hit Jericho with his own Lionsault, but Jericho gets the knees up. Jericho with shoulder blocks and chops, but Knight sends Jericho onto the ramp. Knight takes flight (I know, bad pun lol) and he wipes out Jericho with another flying lariat! Kevin lays in the boots to the head and the back of Jericho. Kevin off the ropes, but Jericho scoops him up and he hits Knight with a DVD on the ramp!
Jericho is distracted by Callis at ring side. He stalks Callis around the ring, and Knight looks to take advantage, but he counters Knight with a knee strike! Back in the ring, and Jericho looks for the Walls, but Knight counters with a roll-up. Both men roll around like a dodgeball on the mat trading pins. Knight with the backslide and he has his feet on the ropes, but Aubrey admonishes him. Jericho rolls up Knight with HIS feet on the ropes and Aubrey doesn’t see that lol. Knight fires back with a Pendulum DDT and we have a standstill.
Knight is first to his feet, and he sits Jericho on the very top. He lands punches and he taunts the fans. Knight looking for the Rana, but Jericho keeps ahold and hits an avalanche Powerbomb! Jericho turns that into the Walls! Callis gets into the ring, but he backs out. Jericho just happens to situate himself by the ropes so Callis can stab him in the forehead with a screwdriver! Jericho ends up in the corner, and here comes Knight with the Coast-to-Coast Jet Kick! The cover, but Jericho is out at two.
Knight heads to the top, UFO Splash, but Jericho with a Code Breaker counter! Jericho looking Judas Effect, but Knight moves, and Jericho keeps rotating, making it look like he is going to elbow Aubrey. Knight kicks Jericho in the balls and wins it with the Crash Landing for the retention.
WINNER: The Jet, Benny not included (And still!)
TIME: 13:00
THOUGHTS: Another match where the end result was never in doubt, but say what you want about Jericho, but he’s been doing some real good work since he came back a couple of months ago. He wasn’t able to keep up with the Jet, though, but that’s hardly anything to be upset about.
RATING: ***3/4
The Death Riders are in the back. Claudio talks to us, but I am more distracted by Moxley and Marina fighting in the back. PAC says it has always been them against the world. Moxley does his usual Tom Hardy-Bane speech, and he says that Jungle Jack Perry didn’t get a very good roll tonight when he faces Moxley.
Get it, because we’re in Vegas, and they gamble in the casino! ZING!
Moxley goes back to rough house with Yuta now.
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
It’s Stat Daddy Time!
Kris Statlander vs. Viva Van
Viva has been around for a while, and she still gets the in-ring treatment. The nerve lol.
Statlander with a side headlock at the bell. Viva with wrist control, but Statlander flattens her with her shoulder. Leapfrog from Statlander, Snap Rana from Van! Kris is like alright, and she hits a step-up Tiaras! Van with an up kick in the corner and a rolling kick to Kris! Viva to the top, but Statlander cuts her off and drags her to the top. Viva doesn’t back down, and she hits a front face suplex off the top rope! Kris to her feet, Viva with a missile dropkick! The cover, but Kris kicks out at two.
Viva looks to pick up Statlander, but she struggles with her, and Kris rolls her up for a two. Van with strikes, and she rolls underneath a Statlander lariat. Kris rolls and she kicks Van in the face. Discus Lariat, Wednesday Night Fever, and a winner is Kris!
WINNER: Stat Daddy!
TIME: 3:05
THOUGHTS: Kris was VERY giving in this match to Viva, which you love to see. Kris winning, like a lot of the other matches tonight, was the conclusion that EVERYONE could reach, but Van got a lot of shine in this one.
RATING: ***
Mick Foley is here. He pimps his shirt being available on August 21st, and he points out his most stunning daughter Noelle in the front row. Mick said he just came from Tony Khan’s office, and he tells Kris that she is going to be in a four-way match next week for Maya World’s TBS Title! Kris takes the mic, and she says that Maya World deserves the title. She is proud of Maya, but Shida and Persephone? PFFT! She will bend both of them over and she will shove their heads up their own asses. Statlander says she was born for the TBS Title; she fought literal wars for the title.
But Persephone is here. Sweet Christmas Luke Cage! Hikaru Shida comes out, and we have ourselves a tag team match. Thunder Rosa and Maya World are here to keep Shida and Persephone at bay!
Persephone and Hikaru Shida vs. Thunder Rosa and TBS Champion Maya World
Maya and Persephone will start this one off. Persephone tries to bully her, but Maya stands up to her. Persephone heads to the floor and taunts Maya. Into the ring, and Persephone tags in Shida, so Maya tags in Rosa. Both ladies trade moves, Rosa off the ropes with an arm drag. Rosa drops Shida into the ropes, and she hits her with double knees to the spine. Clothesline from Rosa, but Shida kicks out at two.
Shida looks to sneak the win with a roll-up, but Rosa kicks out at two. Persephone is in, and Shida holds Rosa in place so Persephone can taunt her. Rosa fights both women off and sends Shida from the ring. Enziguri to Persephone, and Rosa takes out Shida with a baseball slide. Persephone is back and hits a short dropkick to the head. Catapult in the ropes from Persephone, and Shida gets in a cheap shot at we hit the break.
Persephone is lording over Rosa as we return. To be honest, I’m only kind of jealous of her. Persephone forces Rosa into the ropes, she takes the ref so Shida can kick Rosa in the head. The cover, but Rosa is out at two. Maya wanders into the ring, but Persephone and Shida send her packing. Double team suplex attempt, but Rosa counters with a double Rana! Double clothesline, and Maya gets the tag! She takes down the heels with a missile dropkick from the top! Maya with corner clotheslines to both opponents. She rolls up Shida, but she catches an incoming Persephone with her Pump Handle Suplex! That was damn impressive!
Shida kicks Maya out of the ring and to the floor, but she doesn’t realize that Rosa got the blind tag. Rosa with a running dropkick, strikes are traded by both ladies. Shida gets Rosa up for the Falcon Arrow. She did the deal, but Maya makes the save. Maya kicks Peresephone to the corner and tags back in. Maya with an elbow strike to Persephone and a Stunner to Shida! Persephone grabs Maya, but World moves, and Shida strikes Persephone with the knee! Maya hits the Pump Handle Suplex and she wins it for her team!
WINNERS: Rosa’s World! Party on!
TIME: 10:40
THOUGHTS: We’ve heard the standard issue trope about Maya World and her (and Hyan) getting the chances that they did, but at what point do we just say, “Fuck it, this girl really DOES have it”? Every time she is in the ring, she impresses, and it certainly doesn’t hurt to have three industry veterans in the ring with her.
RATING: ***1/2
Darby Allin is in the back. He didn’t have time to wrap his head around his title loss, because he was attacked by Kevin Knight. He defended that title every week, and it meant everything to him. But Kevin, you defeated Jericho tonight, the very first AEW World Champion. But Kevin, you aren’t ready for this type of match with Darby at All-In. And if you can defeat him, then Darby will tell everyone that you have realized the potential that I saw in you all of those years ago.
Darby walks away, and our main event is right around the corner!
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
Renee has Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis in the back. She congratulates him on his International Title defense last week, and Fletcher says that he has defended the International Title three times in three different countries, so why not add a fourth defense in a fourth country at All-In London?
Callis says that he will get his wish, because he talked to Tony Khan, and there is a former International Champion who never got his rematch. Fletcher says don’t tell him it’s Konosuke Takeshita, and Callis confirms this, but he also says he extracted something from Khan as well. Another former International Champion will be in the match, and Kazuchika Okada walks in! Fletcher is PISSED lol. Callis goes into something akin to Steiner Math after he insults Renee, saying that they have a 100% chance of keeping the title in the Family. Fletcher wants to know what HIS odds are, and Okada says they need to keep the title in the Family. Fletcher leaves, and Callis and Okada fool around.
It’s time for Jurassic Death!
Continental Cup Quarterfinals Match: Jungle Jack Perry vs. Continental Champion Jon Moxley
The bell rings, and both men stare each other down. The fans seem to be split for both men. Perry takes the arm and takes Moxley to the mat, but Jon reverses with a leg lock. Perry quickly escapes and we have a reset. Moxley with a double leg take down and he mounts Perry. Jack to his feet, and Moxley takes him to the ropes and gives a clean break.
Moxley misses a chop, allowing Perry to hit his own. Perry off the ropes with a Snap Rana, which sends Moxley to the floor. Perry connects with a baseball slide, but Perry is countered with an anti-air elbow when he tries a tope. Moxley chucks Perry into the ring post and he poses in the crowd. The ref begins his count, and wouldn’t you know it, Perry is busted open from the forehead! That dastardly ring post!
Moxley to the floor, where he stalks Perry. Jack fires back with chops and tries to put Moxley on the barricade. Both men fight around ringside and to the timekeeper’s area, where Perry looks for a Sliced Bread, but Moxley doesn’t let go and he throws Perry through the table! That will take us to what one would assume is our final break of the evening.
Moxley is in complete control as we return. We see Perry has been busted open even further, as Moxley lands cross-face punches, and he ragdolls Perry. Jon attacks the wound of Perry, opening him up even further. Excalibur confirms the 3-way International Title match and the TNT Title Falls Count Anywhere match for All-In London. Noice!
What isn’t Noice is Moxley pulling back on the hair of Perry. Moxley with a submission in place, but Perry is already too close to the ropes. Perry, remaining defiant, eats a Comebacker Lariat and kicks from Moxley. Jon yells at Jack in the corner, but I can’t hear all of what he says because Paul is choking on his neck fat.
All rights and credits to the Man we can’t see lol.
Perry has had ENOUGH as he headbutts Moxley in the gut and drop kicks Moxley from the ring. Not ONE, not TWO, but THREE Tope Suicidas connect from Perry! Perry to the top and he hits the Orihara Moonsault! Moxley is returned to the ring, where Perry hits an elbow drop from the top. The pin, but Moxley turns that into the Sleeper! Moxley with the King Kong Lariat and the Gotch Style Piledriver, but Perry kicks out at 2.999999999999999!
Another huge lariat from Moxley, but again Perry stays in this match at 2.9123456780! Moxley mounts Perry and he lands straight shots to the face of Jack. Paul Turner gets Moxley away and he checks on Perry. Jack says he is still in this, and Moxley is pissed lol. PERRY WITH A PIMP SLAP AND A MIDDLE FINGER! LMAO! Perry with another slap and this time TWO middle fingers lol. Moxley gives as good as he gets. Moxley yells, so Perry screams lol.
Perry walks into the forearms from Moxley, Perry off the ropes with a BIG lariat! Thrust kick from Perry! Can he do it? Perry looking for a piledriver. He struggles, but Moxley comes back down into a roll-up for a two. Perry with the Snare Trap! Moxley is in the middle of the ring, and he tries to do hand fighting, but Perry with attacks to the neck of Moxley.
Jon releases the hold from Perry, so Jack hits some body blows. Moxley picks up Perry and he rolls him through into the Bulldog Choke! Perry gets back to his feet, but he fades back to his knees. Perry tries one more time to get back to his feet, but Moxley takes Perry down to the mat. Perry passes out and the match is over.
WINNER: Jon “Bane” Moxley
TIME: 16:00
THOUGHTS: Scrapy underdog is certainly a good fit for Jack Perry. He doesn’t win the big matches, but damn if he doesn’t give it his all. Great psychology, great action, great counters, and just a great feel overall to this one.
RATING: ****
Post-match, Moxley offers his hand to Perry, who accepts, and Perry is back on his knees in front of Moxley as the show comes to an end. And with that, we are done!
