Claudio Castagnoli Set to Defend CMLL World Title Against Último Guerrero on 3/13

CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli’s next title defense has been confirmed.
Earlier today, CMLL shared a video on X (FKA Twitter) in which Castagnoli accepted Último Guerrero’s challenge for a championship match. The title bout will take place at CMLL’s Arena Mexico show on Friday, March 13.

Claudio Castagnoli captured the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Gran Guerrero at CMLL Viernes Espectacular in November 2025. His maiden title defense was against Último Guerrero at CMLL Dream Match Friday on December 19, 2025, and he managed to retain his gold.
The Death Riders member has since successfully defended the title against Roderick Strong, Xelhua, Josh Alexander, Akuma, and Euforia. Only time will tell if Último Guerrero manages to avenge the defeat he suffered at the hands of Claudio Castagnoli last December.
