CM Punk Responds To Drew McIntyre Saying He Made ‘A Deal With the Devil’ for the WWE 2K26 Cover

WWE Superstar and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk recently spoke to talkSPORT, responding to accusations of WWE Champion Drew McIntyre calling him a “junkie” and making “a deal with the devil” to get on the cover of WWE 2K26. As noted, Punk is the featured athlete in this year’s 2K Showcase for WWE 2K26.

When asked to respond to McIntyre’s comments, CM Punk responded, “You know, it’s what everybody does. They got to talk about the cover athlete. They got to talk about the champ to stay relevant, to say anything interesting.” Punk continued, “I mean, has Drew ever been on the cover? Okay, so maybe there’s a little bit of jealousy. There’s a little bit of envy there, you know? I don’t know what else to say beyond that.”

CM Punk shared his doubt that people in McIntyre’s native Scotland would buy the game if Drew McIntyre made it on the cover. He added, “If Drew was on the cover, we could do the 15 staples on the top of his head that I put in his head in Hell in the Cell. Maybe that’ll sell covers. I don’t know. I don’t even think people in Scotland would buy it if Drew was on the cover.”

WWE 2K26 arrives in its Standard Edition release on Friday, March 13. It will also be available in the King of Kings Edition, Attitude Era Edition, and Monday Night War Edition, which will be released worldwide on Friday, March 6, 2026.
